Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: September 11, 2026
Welcome to Abrehot Online Tutorials (“Abrehot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our educational platform, tutoring services, and website by students, parents/guardians, and tutors. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Services Offered
Abrehot provides online academic tutoring and examination preparation for both National (Ethiopian New Curriculum) and International (Cambridge, IB, AP, SAT, and other recognized frameworks) educational tracks. Services include live 1-to-1 instruction, small-group classes, structured exam revision, recorded sessions, and academic progress monitoring.
2. Cancellation & Rescheduling
To maintain operational structure, scheduling changes are governed by the following timelines:
- Notice Over 24 Hours: Sessions may be rescheduled or canceled without penalty, subject to instructor availability.
- Notice Between 12 and 24 Hours: One rescheduling opportunity may be granted. Repeated late requests will result in the session being marked as used.
- Notice Under 12 Hours: Late cancellations are non-refundable and will be treated as a completed/used session.
3. Punctuality & No-Show Policy
- Student No-Show: Tutors will wait for up to 15 minutes past the scheduled start time. If the student fails to join within 15 minutes, the session is recorded as a student no-show and deducted as a completed lesson.
- Tutor No-Show: If a tutor fails to attend a scheduled session without prior approved notice, the student will be granted a replacement lesson or appropriate credit at no extra cost.
4. Lesson Recording & Privacy
- Mandatory Session Recording: Live sessions are routinely recorded for quality assurance, student revision, internal training, safety monitoring, and academic progress tracking.
- Public & Promotional Use: Abrehot reserves the right to edit and utilize selected excerpts of recorded sessions for educational content, marketing, and official social media platforms, including @abrehottutorials. Where identifiable student participation is included for public distribution, Abrehot complies with applicable privacy and consent standards.
- Unauthorized Recording: Users, including students, parents, and tutors, are strictly prohibited from independently recording, downloading, or distributing live tutoring sessions without explicit written consent from Abrehot.
5. Intellectual Property & Copyright Laws
- Ownership of Content: All proprietary content, including but not limited to study guides, curriculum notes, worksheets, lesson recordings, video lectures, graphic assets, assessment tests, logos, and digital courseware, are the exclusive intellectual property of Abrehot Online Tutorials or its licensors and are protected under applicable national and international copyright laws.
- Limited License: Users are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view provided study materials solely for personal educational use.
- Prohibited Acts: You may not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, transmit, upload, distribute, sell, license, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any Abrehot intellectual property or lesson recordings without express written authorization.
6. User Responsibilities & Code of Conduct
- Tutor Obligations: Tutors must prepare curriculum-aligned instruction, arrive punctually, deliver lessons professionally, protect student privacy, and submit required session logs and recordings.
- Student & Parent Obligations: Students must join sessions on time, participate respectfully, maintain a quiet and suitable learning environment, and ensure access to adequate hardware and stable internet connectivity.
- Non-Solicitation: Tutors and students agree not to arrange private tutoring services independently or solicit business outside of the Abrehot platform.
7. Termination & Policy Updates
Abrehot reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to its services for serious breaches of these Terms, including academic dishonesty, unauthorized distribution of copyrighted materials, misconduct, or circumvention of platform operations. Abrehot may update these terms periodically to reflect operational changes, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
